The Lancefield Mercury is a free monthly local newspaper for Lancefield.
Welcome to the Lancefield Mercury.
The Lancefield Mercury is a local newspaper run by a committee of volunteers. Our not-for-profit group publishes the newspaper as a service to the local community.
The print edition runs to 1600 copies and is funded by our local businesses, as well as a donation from the Macedon Ranges Shire.
The Mercury goes to every house in the Lancefield postal district, delivered by the rural postal contractor or to the Lancefield township by volunteers.
The Mercury is published monthly, eleven times a year (no edition in January – a much needed break for the production team).
The Lancefield Mercury masthead started in the 1870s and, apart from a break of 20 years, has been published, in one form or another ever since.
